Roles and Responsibilities


- Programme:

  • Assist to plan and conduct daily/weekly and monthly programmes for residents with programmes team
  • Assist to liaise with & assess & ascertain external vendors for suitability to run programmes
  • Assist in planning and preparation of programmes budget for financial year
  • Prepare documents for Voluntary Children’s Home (VCH) programmes funding
  • Conduct survey/evaluation of programmes and collate feedback
  • Ensure smooth running of programmes with the Programmes team
  • Maintain good, timely and updated records of all programmes

- Co-Liaison:

  • Support therapeutic team through role of co-liaison for residents
  • Attend to residents needs for education or employment and assist in schedule planning and time management

- Volunteer Management:

  • Ensure that all volunteers are screened by MSF before participation in programmes with the residents
  • Conduct volunteer interview and orientation and preparation of volunteer induction kit
  • Ensure/remind volunteers about volunteers’ guidelines in MWS Volunteer Management Handbook and e-portal & MSF guidelines for volunteers
  • Work with the Corporate Services Comms & Engagement team regarding volunteers
  • Coordinate, ensure and maintain records of volunteer attendance for programmes
  • Conduct, evaluate and maintain regular records volunteer performance/reviews in programmes with residents and with volunteers
  • Provide before & after programme support and facilitate engagement & logistical support
  • Contact and/or correspond with volunteers/potential volunteers to maintain healthy and purposeful engagement
  • Assist to handle volunteer misconduct if any and maintain records
  • Develop volunteers
  • Plan annual volunteer appreciation events (door gifts, programme, performances, preparation with the residents including rehearsal and practice)
  • Prepare yearly volunteer budget
  • Keep & maintain records of volunteers’ personal data in accordance with PDPA guidelines
  • Maintain updated volunteer database
  • Provide quarterly updates of volunteer management reports to the Review Committee (MSF) and yearly licensing audits

Qualifications


  • Diploma or degree preferred
  • Short courses in related areas
  • Certified medically fit
  • Patient

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Mon to Friday (9am-6pm & 1 Saturday a month)
  • Able to work shift (at least one PM shift [2pm – 11pm] shift per week and at least one Saturday per month)
