Department: Home Protection Scheme Department


Position: Executive (Underwriting) – Contract


Job Responsibilities
 

  • Responsible for assessing the eligibility of members according to established underwriting standards and Home Protection Scheme (HPS) guidelines.
  • Review, research, evaluates, accepts, rejects, risks within the HPS guidelines.
  • Offer guidance and advice to members on their queries relating to HPS matters.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationship with stakeholders eg. Healthcare institutions,
  • Processing functions which includes verifying documents, ensure data accuracy in members’ records, timely follow up on outstanding documents to facilitate policy administration.
  • Provide operational support to Senior Manager/Manager/Assistant Manager, which include performing computer transactions, correspondence and telephone duties.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.


Required Attributes

  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to evaluate applications, within the established underwriting standards. Training will be provided for appointees who do not have experience in underwriting.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills to work effectively with members and stakeholders.
  • A team player, effective contributor who is able to multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
