English Trainee Teacher (WSQ Professional Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education)
You will be trained and mentored over 13-months under the Trainee Teacher scheme (either English or Chinese programme). You will be attached to our childcare centres to equip you with practical teaching skills. You will provide shadow support during lessons and activities to facilitate children’s learning from the ages of 18-months to 6 years old, to foster their holistic development and nurture them to be lifelong learners in partnership with their families. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded the WSQ Professional Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (Childcare), specialising in either English or Chinese.
- Diploma in any discipline from a local polytechnic or degree in any discipline
- At least 5 GCE 'O' Level credits with a credit in English(EL1*)
Workforce Development Agency (WDA) funding is only available for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents.
