Responsibilities:

  • Monitor press coverage on a daily basis and make recommendations on brewing issues to be flagged out for possible follow-up.
  • Provide communications advice to Divisions and Departments, facilitate media requests and recommend media approach/strategy, craft media-related materials, help to organise press conferences, media briefings and on-site media management for events.
  • Assess Guest of Honour (GOH) invites, conduct site recce, prepare administrative programmes, draft speech/talking points, facilitate door-stop interviews and post-event media monitoring.
  • Develop and execute integrated communications plans to help departments achieve their policies/ programmes' objectives
  • Identify communications challenges/ opportunities and recommend appropriate communications platforms and/or mediums
  • Identify brewing issues  and escalate to appropriate level
  • Formulate and implement crisis communications plans, where needed
  • Develop and manage branding tactics/strategies to help MOM build top-of-mind awareness and mindshare with the public.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mass Communications or related discipline
  • Preferably 3 to 5 years’ relevant work experience
  • Possess good writing and interpersonal skills as well as project management skills
  • Committed team player
  • Driven, ability to multi-task and cope well when working under pressure
